# Tally crashes with Out of Memory error
**Step 1:** Say **NO** to Companies on Startup
* Go to **Gateway of Tally** > **F12**: **Configure** > **Data Configuration**
* Set Load companies on startup? to **No**
* Press **Ctrl+A** to **accept.**
**Step 2:** Increase Virtual Memory
* Right click on **My Computer**> **Properties** > **Advanced system Setting** and then follow the following steps:
* **Untick** - Automatically managing paging file size for all drives
* Select drive in which Tally is installed and then click on **System Managed Size**- **SET**
