Missing Features
Why are we not supporting XP?
Most of the latest libraries / technology we use for our Desktop App do not support XP anymore. Microsoft themselves do not provide support for XP anymore, which makes it little risky from a security stand point as well.
Why are we not showing Trial Balance in the app?
Our focus is to help provide Business Owners with information that he/she needs on a day-day basis and with reports that they do not get it easily from Tally. We have observed, that most of the owners do not look at their Trial Balance even once in a month, which is why we decided not to add it in the mobile app.
Why are we not showing Godown wise Stock in the app?
To calculate Stock by Godown, the app has to go through each Stock Item and all its transactions to find out its its Batch wise & Godown wise stock. With the limited processing speed on the mobile, it takes a lot of time to do the calculation especially where there are more than 1000+ stock items and/or few years of data in Tally. We did not want to affect the User experience by making the user wait 2-5 mins to get 1 report. However, our backend team is trying to figure out a faster solution to be able to do this in the future.
Why are we not showing Stock value total by Stock Group/Category?
With the limited processing speed on the mobile, it was taking a lot of time to do the calculation especially where there are more than 1000+ stock items. Why are we not showing Group Company in the app?
Tally only allows to sync individual companies from its Desktop software. Also, Group company in Tally work more like a Report where it pulls data from individual companies. No data of Group Company is stored in either Tally or the Database, which is why are not able to make any queries to pull data of a Group company from Tally and in turn show it in the mobile app.
Why are we not able to integrate with RDP shared servers on cloud?
For Biz Analyst to sync the data, it needs unique ODBC port for each client. In case of shared Tally Cloud, Individual users are not able to get unique ODBC port, making their data vulnerable to other Companies who are using the same Cloud Server. However, If your Tally on Cloud Provider is able to provide you a unique ODBC port, our integration would work great for you.
